Soul Food Extravaganza & Kuna Days Were Busy!
Over 5,000 people attended the Soul Food Extravaganza at Julia Davis park Saturday, August 2nd. Over 150 people stopped by the Ada County Democrats booth to register to vote and to purchase Obama Yard Signs, Bumper Stickers and Buttons.
Norena Gutierrez (L) and Rebecca Suits (R) with two newly educated 10 year olds about the upcoming election. Only 8 more years until they can vote!
A world of thanks to Charlie & Jess Spindler and Richard Gutierrez for set up and tear down of the booth. Much thanks to the following for their time spent at the Ada County Democrats booth: Elizabeth Wasson, Laura Doty, Brenda Hunter, Connie Collins, Rebecca Suits, Deb Spindler, and Karen Hammond.
Ada County Democrats volunteers registered over 42 voters at the Soul Food Extravaganza, many like these two young gentlemen will be voting for their first time.
ACROSS TOWN IN KUNA....
Kris Hooker led the parade and booth activities for Ada County Democrats first ever presence at Kuna Days. The parade was a hit with two donkeys (yes, real and alive!) and lots of candy for the kids! Sharon Fisher was on had to share her candidacy with Kuna residents. Bill Sali was no where to be found (imagine that!).
