The annual Frank Church Banquet will be held February 18th in Boise at the Doubletree Inn. Loretta Sanchez, a Congresswoman from California, will be the speaker.

Congresswoman Sanchez won her seat in Congress in 1996 by just 984 votes against a longtime Republican incumbent, on the strength of support from Hispanics and blue collar workers. She became the first Latina to represent an Orange County based district and has not faced serious opposition since.

Congresswoman Sanchez is a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Blue Dog Democrats, New Democratic Coalition, and Congressional Human Rights Caucus. In December 2005, she helped kick off the Hispanic Caucus Institute's 2005 Public Policy Institute in Washington DC, and hosted a Banking and Finance Summit with financial experts who discussed credit scoring and access to credit.

A reception will be held at the Idaho Black History Museum starting at 5:30 pm. The cost of the reception is $100 per person.

There will be a social hour starting at 6:30 pm. Followed by dinner starting at 7:30.

From 6:30 until 8:30 pm, there will be a silent auction.
